Mascardi  Lake

Mascardi Lake is a huge water mass with the best conditions for fly fishing in motor boats.

Great water mirror of an emerald green, originated by the suspended glacial sediments coming from the inactive Tronador Volcano, that is born at the ends of the Manso Superior River, and extends up to the origins of the Manso Medio.

Mascardi Lake is a huge water mass with the best conditions for fly fishing in ships. The same has leafy vegetation in its creeks, formed principally by Coihues that provide protection to the fish living there. It possesses an endless amount of tributary afluents of water, and food providers. Its potential is composed of Brown trout that can be found in its depths, beautiful rainbows and an infinity of Fontanalis in the origins of the Manso Superior, Claro Creek and Casalata Creek.

Equipment: The weather conditions, and not the size of the fish, are the indicators of the equipment to be used, recommending for regular days, equipments #5 and 6, and in adverse weather conditions, #7 and 8. In January or February, it is ideal to fish with float dragon flies and attractors, and sinking nymphs and streamers.
